The Misty Vale Mountains are the home of the Dwarves. Ancient and powerful,
these mountains withstand constant attacks from dragons and nether demons
of every variety. Born from the bowels of the earth itself, the mountains
also contain treasures of unsurpassed beauty. The Dwarves who live here fight
a never ending battle to guard and protect their beloved mountains, as well
as what lies within them.
Long ago, Driven by greed and avarice the God Loki conspired with the Goddess
of Magic, Valtera, to take the mountains for himself. Taking various creatures
from Evermarsh to the south, they worked dark magics upon them and created
the first Dragons and Demons. But even these new beasts were no match for
the impregnable mountains or the hardy dwarves.
Millennia later, the descendants of these first beasts still assail the
mountains, for reason has long since escaped them. Yet the mighty Misty
Vale Mountains remain, tall and majestic, guarding the treasures that lie
within and standing as a monument to determination and beauty.
